Focus: Encouraging interest in art

Expected set up time: 5-10 mins

You’ll need

• Roll butchers paper
• crayons/felts/textas, glue, glitter, whatever you think might inspire your little artist

How to

Cover your coffee table, dinner table, kiddy table, outdoor table with the paper, leave some art supplies on the table and let the art begin.  Leave the paper out all day.

We got our paper roll from Ikea but your local butcher may give you some paper or you can often get a roll from your local newspaper.

The moments I took throughout the day with my little artist we made up some play scenes like these dinosaur mountains and volcano.  We also made a motorcycle track.  We also practiced his name.

When left to himself he made monsters (among other things)

We left it out all day.  It was lots of fun.

Think about this

My Little Mister is not super interested in art so I try lots of different ways to encourage him.  Leaving this out all day was a good experience.  It got food on it and fingerprints etc but it was fun.
