Focus: Construction and Imaginative play

Expected set up time: 30 minutes

You’ll need

• Electrical Tape
• Scissors
• Cars

How to

Find a space that you can start mapping out your road. If you want your child to be really involved give them one end of the tape and you hold the other end. Have them take the tape to the places they want to drive their cars and then place the tape down and stick it to the floor. This can be done on most floor types, but works best on a tile or lino finish. Its pretty simple, and can be added to over time.

Think about this

Add buildings or themes to your road way, (we added a dinosaur zoo) you may want to add supermarkets, theme parks, restaurants etc. This will encourage the imaginative and role play element of this activity. Remember to take that moment!
