Paper Rockets
Focus: Distance and Measurement
Expected set up time: 5 minutes
You’ll need
- Paper
- Glue or tape (tape works best)
- Straws
- Markers
How to
Super easy! Color a strip of paper roughly 3 inches thick…
Glue sides together to make a tube, and glue the bottom shut to create a tube with one end open…
Put the tube over a straw and Blast Off!!!
Bring out the tape measure and have your child measure the distance that their paper rocket has travelled. Write down the distances and see whether they can figure out why it goes further sometimes.
Remember to take that moment.
