There are lots of exciting things happening with The Polkadots at the moment! We have lots of great shows coming up, but we also have Polkadot Dez and Polkadot Sarah expecting to have a new baby each by the end of the year! Polkadot Dez is due in mid August and Sarah is due at the end of October. . .  and both are expecting another baby girl! Everyone in our Polkadots family is very excited about the new arrivals!

This does mean however that both Dez and Sarah will be taking some time out from their Polkadotty costumes and dance moves on stage while on maternity leave. So to keep the fluro green and fluro purple alive Polkadot Ashleigh has joined the ranks!  We like to think of Ashleigh as the rainbow Polkadot as she will be filling in for whatever Polkadot can’t be present. As much as we want to be at every single show things do pop up (with being mums and all) which stop us from being able to jump on stage. So Ashleigh comes to the rescue! and she brings amazing energy and enthusiasm with her.

Let me tell you a little bit about Ashleigh. . . Ashleigh is currently studying to complete her Bachelor of performing and screen arts, with a major in contemporary dance. Ashleigh started working with The Polkadots as one of our back up dancers, The Dots! Ashleighs love for everything Polkadotty soon made her the first choice for our fill in, and she has made the transition seamless for us and already has little admirers popping up and wanting to meet her at the end of our shows!

So, for now you will see Ashleigh sporting Polkadot Green… and then in a month or two you will find her in Polkadot Purple! She may also jump into the Dot gang now and then. . . you may also find her in Pink or Orange! You can now be friends with Polkadot Ashleigh on Facebook! Send her a message and say Hi.
